Signs Your Child May Need Early Intervention
Is your child experiencing any of the following?
- Difficulty holding objects?
- Struggles to focus on activities suitable for their age?
- Have trouble climbing stairs, running, or balancing?
- Does not show interest in other children or playing with peers?
- Shows limited eye contact or gesture (pointing, waving)?
- Finds it difficult to follow simple instructions (e.g., “Come here”, “Give me the ball”)?
- Shows strong reaction to textures or food preferences?
- Finds it difficult to eat independently or chew/swallow properly?
- Difficulty in remembering familiar objects, shapes, or colors?
- Does your child overreact or underreact to sounds, lights, touch, or movement?
- Does your child frequently cover ears, avoid touch, or seek excessive spinning/jumping?
If your child shows some of these behaviours, they may not yet have the foundational life skills appropriate to their age.
How Early Intervention helps
A structured early intervention program for children with delays and/or autism is designed to meet each child where they are. The session focuses on bridging the gap and to overcome the disabilities or delayed milestones.
